Apple has closed a deal with OpenAI on Monday afternoon to integrate ChatGPT technology into iOS 18 for iPhones.The brand has finalized an agreement with OpenAI, which will bring some of its technology to the iPhone. This will offer Apple a cool new tool that users want, enhancing AI-driven features and providing users with a more advanced digital assistance. These features will be showcased later this year.

Apart from Apple, Open AI is all set to make its own separate announcement, where one of its distinct features is an AI voice assistant to compete with Siri and Google Assistant. The integration will occur on Apple’s iPhone platform, specifically within the iOS 18 operating system. This will make ChatGPT features available to iPhone users globally.
The integration will involve incorporating ChatGPT’s functionalities into iOS 18, allowing for AI-driven enhancements across various applications and services on iPhones. This includes new customization tools like:
- Photo retouching, such as the removal of unwanted objects.
- Voice memo transcriptions.
- Suggested replies to emails and messages.
- Auto-generated custom emojis based on the content of a user’s messages.
- Smart recap for missed notifications and messages.
- Improved Safari web search and faster searches in Spotlight.
- Auto-generated Apple Music playlists based on input from the user, such as mood.
- AI-assisted writing in Pages.
- AI-assisted slide deck creation in Keynote.
- AI code writing in Xcode for developers.
