GC Brown was never one to shy away from a challenge. While he was serving 16 years in federal prison on tax offences, he read a newspaper article that said that writing a novel is the third hardest thing to do.
GC Brown picked up a pen. That was in 2014. He hasn’t stopped writing since. That’s how he completed two series, SNIFF, SMOKE, SHOOT, and The Mason Storm Series prior to his release late last year.
It’s also how he won a gold award in The Ben Franklin contest. His then-agent had entered his initial novel, Wake of Storm.
“I was shocked and surprised when I received a letter telling me I’d won,” GC stated, “I did not even know I was being considered.”
Just released in November 2023, he’s been busy living life since then, determined to make up for lost time. GC Brown and his new bride, Carla, expect identical twin boys, Tristan and Trevor, in September. SNIFF is the first novel to be published on November 1. The other books will follow.
He’s also one of three partners in UpCup Koffee, a mushroom coffee company. His partners are also felons. Alex Diaz was released in 2015 and Dr. William McArthur III was released in 2011.
SNIFF will be published by Story Merchant Books and is GC’s first novel. It is exciting, action-packed, hard-hitting and plain-speaking with some tough language and wild scenarios.
