In a recent chat with CNBC, Google CEO Sundar Pichai spilled the beans on why they gave their popular chatbot a glow-up, transforming it from Bard AI to the slicker Gemini. The big reveal also brought along a snazzy Gemini app and Gemini Ultra, bundling in some premium subscription goodness. This move is more than just a rebrand; it’s Google’s way of leveling up AI while keeping user safety front and center.

Pichai broke it down, saying, “Gemini is our overall vibe for building the top-notch and safe AI model. Bard was how folks chatted up our models directly, so evolving it into Gemini just made sense. You’re basically chatting with the real deal Gemini model now.”

He added, “This is how we’re gonna keep pushing our models forward, letting users get hands-on with the experience. The name change was a no-brainer.”

So, the shift from Bard to Gemini isn’t just a name game. It’s Google dialing in on giving users a smoother and more direct dance with their fancy AI models. The new Gemini app is set to jazz up the user experience, providing a seamless groove with the underlying Gemini model.

And that’s not all – enter Gemini Ultra, throwing in a premium subscription for those wanting the VIP treatment. Google’s shouting from the rooftops about their commitment to pushing AI boundaries. Now users can tap into a souped-up, premium AI experience, unlocking all the bells and whistles.

As Google maps out the future of AI interaction, the Gemini rebrand aligns with their grand plan – creating a space where users can vibe directly with the cutting-edge AI models, all safe and efficient. It’s not just a name change; it’s Google putting on a whole new show.
